To correct this you must set the JAVA_HOME environment variable. To do this depends on the
version of Windows you have. The below describes XP but if this isn't correct you can search
Google using the term
"set environment variable on windows"
to get more details or other options.
For Windows XP, this needs to be done using the System Properties dialog box.
- First click on the Start menu and select "Control Panel" and then select System.
- This opens the "System Properties" Dialog box. Select the "Advanced" tab and click on the
"Environment Variables" button at the bottom.
- This give the Environment Variables entry window.
- Then click the "New" button under the "User Variables For XXX" to get the entry window.
- Enter JAVA_HOME in the Variable Name field.
- Enter the full path to your Java install (eg. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_02) in
the Variable Value field.
- Then click OK.
- Then click the OK on the environment and system properties dialog.
You should now be able to install and run Vol-Track.
